This exhibit made me question what is considered beauty? is it models that are on magazine covers and extremely skinny people? Our society has made us believe that beauty is something that can be achieved. if you are not beautiful, you can become beautiful by getting cosmetic surgery, you can alter your appearance from facial features to your body type. you can even change you skin color. people tend to embody others such as the Marilyn Monroe Syndrome.. when looking at these photographs, I wonder if being/ resembling someone whom you think defines beauty changes you or gives you the confidence to be a better version of yourself. This exhibit was able to show beauty as our society defines it, yet it also took you into other parts of our society where things such as body building and breast cancer can all be seen as beautiful.
