Cultural Garment

Inspired by Chinese and Vietnamese traditional garments usually worn for special occasions and weddings, I designed an evening gown with 3 separate pieces that can be worn on its own or paired in different ways to create different looks. The idea behind my gown was a wedding. There are usually 3 parts in a traditional wedding: ceremony, reception, and the honeymoon. This dress can be worn for each part. The traditional garments are very fitted above the waist with very little body below the waist. My design is a lace triangle top with a mandarin collar, reversible corset both paired with a full skirt.
